Contract Documents

The contract Documents tab lists all documents associated with a contract. Details about the currently selected document appear in the Document Overviewpanel at the bottom of the page. From the Documents tab, you can view attachments, attach new documents to the contract, and remove documents that were previously uploaded. Multiple revisions of documents can be maintained.

Documents uploaded to the contract are associated only with this specific contract. They are not populated into the Documents module.

ClosedView or Update a Document

  1. Highlight the document you want to view in the document list at the top of the page.

    The details for that document appear in the Document Overview section at the bottom of the page.

  2. Click the hyper linked text listing the file name. 

    The document opens in a new window. Depending on the type of document, you might be prompted to confirm whether you want to open or save the document prior to opening.

  3. When you are finished viewing the document, close the window.

ClosedUpdate Document Folder

  1. Highlight the document you want to move.

    The details for that document appear in the Document Overview section at the bottom of the page.

  2. Select the new folder from the Folder field.

    A dialog box opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

  3. Click the OK button.

    The page refreshes and the file attachment moves to the specified folder.

ClosedAdd a New Document

  1. In the folder list on the left, click the folder where the document should be placed. 

    You can create a folder by clicking the Add… button at the top of the folder list. The Document Folders lookup opens, allowing you to create a new folder.

  2. Click Add.

    The Create a New Document window opens, prompting you to upload the document.

  3. Enter a title for your document in the Title field.

  4. Enter the revision number for the document in the Revision field.

  5. Click the Choose File button within the File Attachment field.

    Your operating system displays a window from which you can locate and select the document to upload.

  6. Click the file to select it, and click Open.

    The Create a New Document window reappears, listing the path and file name for the attachment. 

  7. Click Save.

     When the file is uploaded, the Documents tab re-appears with your new document listed.

ClosedRemove a Document

  1. Highlight the document you want to remove.

    The details for that document appear in the Document Overview section at the bottom of the page.

  2. Click Remove.

    A dialog box opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

  3. Click the OK button.

     The page refreshes with the document removed.
